RECYCLED CASHMERE

Materials Our cashmere products are made using a special blend of recycled cashmere and responsible merino wool, which has a considerably lower environmental impact compared with conventional cashmere.

Since autumn 2020, our cashmere products are made using a special blend of recycled cashmere and RWS-certified merino wool. Making use of second-hand cashmere yarns, this material has a considerably reduced environmental impact compared with conventional cashmere yet offers the same luxurious softness and natural warmth. By introducing this new material, we are happy to offer products that do not increase the demand for conventional cashmere, but instead help prevent the desertification of grasslands in Central Asia and the consequent ecological imbalance of our planet. The production of conventional cashmere is known to have a significant environmental impact due to the harmful effects of overgrazing. Developed by our in-house knitwear technicians, recycled cashmere represents an essential step in our efforts to become more circular and reduce our overall footprint.

The grid is an essential element of our visual identity. It represents the notion of the archive and is used to organise and display information ranging from the names of plants to fabric weights and different types of materials used in our collections. These nine squares symbolise the separate parts that together form our world, and they are also the areas where we strive to make a difference.
