Polkapojkarna

Rooted in Sweden’s sweet-making tradition, Polkapojkarna is a small confectionery based in the town of Gränna – the birthplace of the red-and-white peppermint stick known in Sweden as polkagris.

Red and white striped candy canes arranged in the shape of the letter "A" on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, with hands holding the tray.

Founded by passionate artisans, the company continues to handcraft candy using traditional techniques and natural ingredients, preserving a craft that dates back to the 19th century.

Each batch is prepared in open copper pans, then pulled, twisted and shaped by hand into the signature spiral pattern, a process that requires skill, precision and patience. Each stick is unique, with subtle variations that reflect the handmade nature of the craft.

Polkapojkarna provides the handcrafted candy sticks used in our Polkagris Latte – a sweet peppermint favourite for the winter season. The collaboration celebrates tradition, craftsmanship and a shared appreciation for simple pleasures made with care.
