one year anniversary
Explore the modern-day market
ARKET is a destination for simple and beautifully made essentials to live in and live with for a long time. On the one year anniversary of our opening, we celebrate the core wardrobe components which are the foundation of our collection.

Twill trench coat

Curated byOuterwear

The trench coat was a product of the latest textile innovations when it was introduced in the late 1800s. Made from a new kind of waterproof fabric, the trench coat was lighter and more flexible than traditional woollen greatcoats, more breathable than rubberised raincoats.

Our version of the trench coat is made from a blend of Egyptian ‘Mako’ cotton and fine nylon crêpe. The combined materials produce a compact yet lightweight fabric with a dry, technical touch.

Curated bySocks

ARKET offers an edited selection of socks for men, women and children. With a variety of materials – solid or patterned – the collection covers a wide range of different knitted structures such as plain and rib knits, piqué, pointelle and jacquard. In addition to the core collection, seasonal styles are carefully added to complete the assortment.

2-in-1 Series™

Curated byOuterwear

The 2-in-1 Series™ is a modular outerwear system designed with a focus on flexibility between seasons and wearability in harsh winter temperatures. The construction of the pieces draws inspiration from utility garments and extreme cold-weather clothing. Each piece in the collection can be used independently, but both modules – multi-functional shells and insulating liners – have been specifically designed so they can be zipped and snapped together, to form a fully padded coat.

Responsible Wool Standard

Curated byKnitwear

Our merino wool comes from responsible and sustainably-minded farms in Uruguay and Australia. ARKET is one of the first brands to introduce the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS), an independent and voluntary certification that makes it possible to trace the material used in each product, from the individual garment all the way back to the farm. The goal of the RWS is to protect the sheep that supply the wool and the land on which they graze. Products made from RWS-certified wool are already available in our A/W 2018 collections, and we aim to gradually shift all our merino knitwear production from organic wool to RWS-certified wool.

Dresses & skirts

Curated byDresses & skirts

Our collection of skirts builds on four elemental shapes: straight, flared, voluminous, and the triangular A-line. With variations in material, cut and construction, each of these shapes will create a multitude of distinctive silhouettes and drapes. The design of a dress follows the same principles but adds another layer of variety through different proportions of the upper part.

Wool Hopsack Suit

Curated byTailoring

Hopsack is a so-called ‘balanced basket weave’, distinguished by a loose and subtly checked texture airy and lightweight, yet durable and naturally wrinkle-resistant, hopsack is ideal for soft tailoring. Our fabric’s special properties make for versatile and casual year-round garments, well-suited to travel and everyday wear, and will age well over time. Our two-button hopsack blazer is half-lined and tailored for a relaxed, straight fit.

Scent family

Curated byBath & body

ARKET’s bath and body series was influenced by the International Perfume Museum in France. Its gardens outside Grasse are an open-air conservatory for fragrant plants, plotted according to traditional scent families. An illustrated ‘scent tree’ maps the area with a branch for each family and documents the relationship between plants and other raw materials used in perfumery. We have transferred this tree to a grid to classify our growing collection of single-ingredient scent concepts.
