Women Spring textures
One of the most distinct features of the spring wardrobe is the lighter, softer palette of materials it's usually composed of. In fact, getting dressed in spring is a tactile treat that awakens the sense of touch as warmer days settle in and we let go of bulkier pieces. In this edit, we present our favourite spring textures: enduring, pleasant materials that are a pleasure to feel against the skin and that, when combined, add depth to the most effortless looks.
01 Soft cotton jersey
A synonym to comfort, cotton jersey is the starting point from which most basics like T-shirts, sweatpants or hoodies are made of. These pieces are durable and endearing. Everyday staples because of their versatility; personal staples because of how much they contribute to build one's unique style.
Knits stretch in a natural and gentle manner. Fitted knits follow the contours of the body gracefully and are wonderful spring companions, ideal to wear with and layer under other garments to create beautiful silhouettes. For example, style capri tights, new this season, with a structured blazer. Or wear a fitted stretch dress styled with an open shirt for an effortless yet sleek look.
03 Unexpected linen
Linen is a favourite material for the warmer seasons, usually associated with textured fabrics that get more and more beautiful as they wrinkle and age. But linen can be used for structured pieces too. Blends of linen and other natural materials such as wool or cotton create sophisticated fabrics with many finishes: breathable and comfortable yet sleek and structured.
04 Technical nylon
We love the feel of paper nylon. Styled with natural fibres, it creates an utterly cool contrast that subtly brings the world of retro athleisure to other relaxed and casual spring looks. A combination that is even more delightful when the colours create a beautiful mix of neutrals, pastels and pops of bolder tones relevant for the season.
