Pastry Drop™ #19 BETTER–TOGETHER APPLE PIE

ARKET's Pastry Drop series are seasonally flavoured pastries inspired by the natural rhythm of the Nordic climate. Developed by our chef Martin Berg, the pastries are offered for a limited time at all ARKET cafés.

In time for winter festivities, we are introducing a Pastry Drop made for sharing, the Better-Together Apple Pie. This warming sweet treat is available per slice or as a whole 6-piece to enjoy with your near and dear. Spiced with ginger, cinnamon and cardamom, it has that comforting quality we long for this time of the year. We bake it with organic whole-grain flour and winter apples – a hero ingredient in our seasonal kitchen that can be harvested in late atumn and naturally stored to stay fresh right through the winter and into spring. The Better-Together Apple Pie has arrived in ARKET Cafés and is also available for takeaway.

LAUNCHING 2 DECEMBER 2021

THE WINTER MENU

FOOD Joyful gatherings and cherished moments at the comfort of our homes mark this special time of the year. At ARKET cafés, we celebrate it with rich and satisfying meals we long for as the temperatures drop.

Presented as filling salads, gourmet sandwiches, wraps, flatbread pizzas and soups, each dish is carefully prepared with seasonal ingredients traditionally found in Nordic pantries. Root vegetables, pickles, legumes and nuts are combined with influences from around the world to bring a well-balanced mix of familiar and unexpected flavours. Alongside our pastry classics, the Holiday Saffron Bun and the Better-Together Apple Pie make a guest appearance, imbuing the menu with a holiday spirit. These sweet treats are perfect companions to our hot drink menu starring coffee creations, hot cocoa and warming herbal infusions prepared freshly in the cafés.

VEGETARIAN RECIPES BY MARTIN BERG

Food Featuring gourmet sandwiches, hearty salads and flavoursome toppings, we’re introducing fresh recipes created by chef Martin Berg. Selected and reworked from his menus at ARKET café, each dish is a modern and inclusive take on the Scandinavian kitchen that interlaces seasonality, quality and taste.

Together with Martin’s easy-to-follow cooking guides, the complete collection of recipes will be included in our new cookbook launching later this year. Our food philosophy is grounded in the New Nordic food movement. It emphasises traditional methods and healthy, ethically produced ingredients while consciously combining local recipes with influences from around the world. These recipes are our invitation to embrace seasonal vegetarian cooking and choose natural flavours for a way of eating that promotes our health and the wellbeing of the planet.

The grid is an essential element of our visual identity. It represents the notion of the archive and is used to organise and display information ranging from the names of plants to fabric weights and different types of materials used in our collections. These nine squares symbolise the separate parts that together form our world, and they are also the areas where we strive to make a difference.
