Recycled polyester is commonly made from post-consumer PET. Often found as plastic bottles, PET is processed, polymerised, spun and knitted or woven to create a wrinkle-resistant fabric that’s easy to care for. The regenerated yarn holds the same properties as virgin polyester; it is strong, resilient and durable, with excellent moisture-wicking qualities, and can be recycled repeatedly.

Conventional polyester is man-made from petrochemicals. As one of the most heavily produced fabrics in the world, it requires large amounts of water, chemicals and energy to produce. Recycled polyester takes less energy to make than virgin polyester, and helps to divert plastic bottles from ending up in a landfill.
