Children’s collection Spring Layers

As sunny days get closer, we are finally letting go of winter outerwear. Instead, now we look for pieces that are versatile, easy to pack and light enough to carry around.

Among our favourite spring outerwear for children are quilted coats, fleece zip-ups and utility-inspired jackets. Read more to find out what we love about these pieces.

01 Quilted coats and jackets

These are the most suited for the little ones at the beginning of the transitional season. Quilted and padded, they protect against the cold, but the lighter silhouettes and colours add a spring feeling to the rotation.

02 Fleece zip-ups

A wonderful layering piece for all – we wear our fleece as much as they do. Fleece jackets are practical, warm, cosy and not bulky: a perfect mid-layer at the beginning of the transitional season, and a great top-layer to keep around once spring has settled in.

01 Utility jackets

We love utility-inspired sets for children, and their versatility. Worn together, the pieces are a charming set and used separately, the top makes a great spring jacket. They can wear it as thicker shirt when it's still a bit cold, or as a light jacket for spring and summer. If you feel like matching them, wear your favourite overshirt too.

Spring overshirts

Modern overshirts are inspired by functional workwear and utility garments, including the French blue work jacket, military jackets and artisan smocks. Minimally detailed and cut with extra room, they’re the perfect layer for the transitional season.

The grid is an essential element of our visual identity. It represents the notion of the archive and is used to organise and display information ranging from the names of plants to fabric weights and different types of materials used in our collections. These nine squares symbolise the separate parts that together form our world, and they are also the areas where we strive to make a difference.
