Morjas specially made for ARKET

Introducing the penny loafer, a collaboration between Stockholm-based footwear brand Morjas and ARKET.

With a shared appreciation for archetypal designs, craftsmanship and contemporary aesthetics, the two brands have developed a timely interpretation of this true classic in footwear.

Goodyear welted in 128 steps, each pair has been handcrafted in the Morjas factory in Almansa, Spain, a region with a tradition of shoemaking that dates back to the 18th century.

Designed in tonal black, the penny loafer is a distinct yet versatile style that pairs well both with the modern business wardrobe and casual everyday looks. A true long-lasting icon that will age beautifully over time.

The grid is an essential element of our visual identity. It represents the notion of the archive and is used to organise and display information ranging from the names of plants to fabric weights and different types of materials used in our collections. These nine squares symbolise the separate parts that together form our world, and they are also the areas where we strive to make a difference.
