Cotton-poly is a functional fabric developed exclusively for ARKET from recycled polyester and enhanced with organic cotton for a softer touch and added breathability. Featuring a PFC-free water-repellent finish, this durable fabric remains dry in changing weather conditions.
Developed exclusively for ARKET by a Korean mill specialising in functional outerwear textiles, the Cotton-poly fabric is engineered from a blend of recycled polyester and organic cotton. The unique composition and production process makes it possible to transfer the properties of the respective fibres onto the fabric – resulting in long-lasting outdoor garments suitable for changing weather conditions.
After the yarns are woven and dyed into a sturdy plain-weave fabric, a PFC-free water-repellent treatment is applied to keep the moisture away from the skin even in wet weather. The cotton fibres give the fabric a softer touch and makes it more breathable, while the synthetic fibres offer reliable functionality.
Garments made from ARKET’s Cotton-poly material have been designed to minimise their environmental impact and are both durable and easy to care for.
