Supplier Sänkdalens Gård
Sänkdalen is a family-run farm located on the Vikbolandet peninsula in the southeast of Sweden. Established in the 1800s, the farm has been managed organically since 1972 when Per-Gunnar Gunnarson, the father of today's owner Tomas Gunnarson, decided to start using ecological practices, to take responsible care of his land. In 2012, Tomas established a small ice cream factory on the farm. His family’s ice cream is made using only high-quality ingredients such as locally sourced nuts, jams and fresh fruits, and of course the milk that comes from Sänkdalen’s own cows. Per-Gunnar and his wife Birgit still live at the farm, together with Tomas, his wife Gunilla, their children and grandchildren.
